Eiken Review

Guys.....I like fan service. I like panty shots, boob shots/boob grabs, exposed female bodies, etc. Fan service on it's own is good if done right (Personally, I think Girls Bravo falls in this category, despite how excessive it's use of fan service was), but it can also be useful & good when it supplements a larger story (Strike Witches & Tenchi Muyo come to mind). However, there are times when fan service can become a monster. There's times where fan service becomes bloated, massive in size, and just flat out goes out of control! Today's show is that, and then some. So let's look at Eiken, and see if the stories about it are true.

Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki

TENCHI MUYO! should be a hard series to like and even to define because it is a series plagued with reboots, semi-sequels, and peculiar OVA follow-ups (essentially these are Japanese releases that are straight to video animations rather than straight to TV).

The odd thing is that what is known as the first generation TENCHI MUYO! show is in fact an OVA itself. The first six episodes are what is collectively known as TENCHI MUYO! RYO-OHKI or just plain OVA 1 (although this title can also refer to all of the OVAs, too). This OVA 1 was released in Japan on September 25, 1992. I turned two years old that day.

Then that was it. Put a fork in it because the TENCHI MUYO! series is done.

Direct To Video

For many years here in the West, a film or program that went 'Direct to Video' was viewed as something of low budget and poor quality. Very often these were 'B Movies', insufficient in technical or artistic expertise to consider being released in theatres.

In Japan, Original Video Animation, or OVAs as they are commonly known, are made for video (originally VHS but now DVD and Blu-Ray) productions that are akin to a long episode or a short film. Often, each release is part of a series and forms a complete story arc at the end.

Big Sword, Short Skirt

Aside from the games of Mike Pondsmith and R. Talsorian, I often find that, for many gamers, few other names even ring a bell when it comes to Anime and Manga style RPGs published in America (or available here at least).*

Of course this is not true but as a good deal of time has passed since the height of Anime/Manga gaming popularity**, it is easy to forget all that came before. Let's see if I can refresh your memories.

One week normal, one week pictures, the crazy never ends (DA 6.16.13)

Anime comments: Started watching Tenchi muyo! War on geminar but I could tell from the opening that I wouldn't be able to focus on it I'm not sure if it was me or hulu but everything looked blurry lenses when it came to the artwork. I need to watch more anime its hard when the shows are online and not on TV. Speaking of anime on TV Digimon is back on Nicktoons!!!! DIGIMON SEASON 1 IS ON NICKTOONS!! Right now they are going though part one with the demonmon but its not that bad (Matt almost freezing to death?) but i'm holding out for the myotismon arc which I think is the better then of course piedmon

Art: I'm being lazy with scanning pictures I should get on that ^^;

TV/ Korra comments: Korra comments first I saw some sneak peek stuff on tumblr. Ffffheshjfskdhkj OMGOSH!!! I think the animation improved even more so, the art looks amazing, the everything looks amazing I. CAN'T. WAIT!!! I really hope it is This saturday that would be awesome. My comments about shows online are the same as the anime ones. I have a joint hulu account I haven't played on yet that I really should as well as apply the one week rule to shows on the internet as well (though seeing as I have 118 episodes of many different things not counting 3rd rock from the sun with 139 episodes 0o) one week may not be enough really. 3rdrock from the sun might be a 4 or 5 episodes only just due to how much of it there is. Watched a bit of "twisted" on ABC family but once the shirts came off I was like "no thank you" I didn't know the characters well enough in that short 20 min and the practical rape and peer pressure it was just to much and to uncomfortable. I can see why the show had a viewer disgression advized before hand on it. ABC Family has gone down hill since cancleing Kyle XY in 2009 it just fell apart and has to much of what I can't stand (caty girls, sex talks, jerk jocks, etc) At least in Defiance the characters are ADULTS so it doesn't feel wrong on all levels.

My Thoughts on: Current State of Anime

Big colored eyes, Crazily designed hair, Accentuated features,

This is the type of stuff I live for! It pretty much comes to no surprise; but if you are still wondering, I'm a big fan of anime. I grew up on the Toonami block watching heavyweights like Dragonball Z, Gundam Wing & Yu Yu Hakusho. (My personal favorite)

Interview With Emily Muto

[1]For those of you who were not readers back when I was a regular writer for Comics And..., I\'d like to add a bit of an introduction. As much as I grew up with traditional comic books I find myself enjoying webcomics more and more as I get older. There\'s a lot of great work out there that\'s creator driven and often has an ending planned before the creator even starts posting. Also, with many webcomics you have a chance to have an ongoing conversation with the creator(s) through comments sections, emails, online forums and, in Emi\'s case, a shoutbox. I have a lot of fun reading webcomics and some of my best interviews have been from reaching out to the creators directly. If you haven\'t checked out some of the great comics available FOR FREE online, you should. Then, if you like them you can choose to support the creators directly without any middle man.
The Way to Your Heart [2] (TWTYH) is a webcomic I started reading a over a year ago. I actually found it through another comic I read as Emi (Emily Muto) contributed a guest page [3] while the creator of Red String [4] was on hiatus. Her art work for Red String attracted me to her page and I have been an avid reader ever since.

Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari

Hmmhave i been watching too much anime recently?.....NOPE lets continue!

So many pretty girls!

My Top 10 Books

Well ladies & gentlemen, this is it. The last of my top 10 lists. I've taken you all on a months-long personal journey, shows you all my top 10 games, anime, movies & tv shows, and more recently, my top 10 singers & bands. Today's top 10 list was perhaps the toughest of the lists that I made, simply due to the fact that I've read hordes upon hordes of books, some of which I've unfortunately forgotten overtime. Luckily, the choices I picked for this list can't, and probably won't, be forgotten. So, as a final glimpse into my mind, here are my top 10 books of all time. Enjoy!

Oh, and I'll put the first of my 40 anime reviews up later. I just wanted to get this out of the way.

Simplifying No-Hassle Programs For Free Nude Women

Some people feel more all-natural without clothing. Psychologically, performing on stage in the nude in a comedy club or eating inside the buff in front of clothed food servers are two methods of becoming more vulnerable to the lonely crowd whenever in public. Imagine how difficult it really is to recruit stand-up comics to do nude at a comedy club.

There were no details yet found on the 16-year-old girl, nevertheless the 19-year-old girl's home is simply 200 meters (yards) from where she was held. She went lost inside July of last year.

Those Obnoxious Aliens

I have Star Trek on the brain.

I have Superheroes in my soul (or spirit...well if I actually had either of those).

But my heart belongs to Teenagers from Outer Space.
