Seiyuus

Well not much of a common theme today for a seiyuu post. To me it feels that the seiyuus I'm going to talk about today are in every freaking anime that I watch. Once again the guys are mostly into main character roles, while the girls are kind of here and there.

Anime fan

Ano Natsu de Matteru

Waiting in the Summer. That's what this title means. It's a rather apt title, too. Since this romantic comedy/drama/sci-fi story takes place largely in the summer when a bunch of school friends whittle away the hours by shooting a movie to cement their memories of said summer.

In a way, I suppose this show was the perfect way to follow up a summer of my own where I rewatched the TENCHI MUYO series and finally viewed THE MELANCHOLY OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA. ANO NATSU DE MATTERU contains much of the same subject matter, but this particular show portrays romantic relationships with a straight-face. That's something that TENCHI MUYO avoided entirely (except for TENCHI IN TOKYO) and THE MELANCHOLY OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA never specifically mentioned although there were a few subtle hints.

Tenchi Muyo Mihoshi Special Review

Hello fellow viewers! Were right in the middle of September, with only a scant few series/OVAs left to look at. Today's review is a return to one of my favorite anime franchises, and to a somewhat obscure movie within that franchise. So sit back, relax, prepare to laugh, and read my review on the Tenchi Muyo Mihoshi Special.

Anime One ranks which anime cross-overs do people want to see the most

Anime and manga may not be something new but whenever these things happen, people will be excited about it. With and duking it out, Anime One has recently conducted a survey on which anime cross-overs do people want to see the most. With a total of 1,035 votes, here are the results:

33, 32, 31- Space Captain Harlock X One Piece- 0 votes

Otaking 4 Shingeki No Kyoujin

Believe it! It's Attack on Titan! The holy grail! For me, it's the return of my youth when I used to watch all the good shows during the 90's Toonami on Cartoon Network with Dragonball Z, G Gundam, Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo, and everything else in between. This show speaks for itself. If there was any anime show I would recommend to ANYONE, not even someone who really likes anime, It would have to be this. It's too easy of a choice and I recommend it to anyone who has been holding out.

Even before I embarked on this epic journey I had already heard good things about the show but I was thinking to myself, man it's probably just overrated. Maybe it was something overhyped by these anxious teenage fanboys. Actually even before I started watching Vanguard I already heard praises for the show but I just dismissed it. Not until I finished My Teen RomCom Snafu with sadness In my eyes that I willingly watched the first episode...

Four hours later, I was on Episode 10...in one sitting..I was already caught up. Holy crap is this show good, I was thinking to myself after I came to a halt. Everything that I envisioned in a story, without cliches and so many unexpected moments, came from this show. Remember when I said there's always a formula on how a series is developed? Nope, not here..

Three Sprite Patterns of Cartoon Girls With Varying Senses of Style

Hello! I'm kind of sleepy tonight, so I probably shouldn't be doing this, but I wanted to post to my blog! Tonight's post isn't going to be anything that special, since I'm just going to be pulling three sprite patterns out of my jar. I haven't even put the new patterns I've been working on into the drawings yet, though I did, as was threatened, make a pattern of Amy Rose, from Sonic the Hedgehog. It turned out to be very cute, so, despite the fact that I'm not sure any of you are looking forward to seeing it, I am looking forward to posting it. That day is still in the future, though, so for now, here are some patterns that I've actually gotten charted and formatted!

Tonight's first pattern is of Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo, who I have already posted a sprite pattern of once before. When I've been working on the patterns in my Tenchi Muyo set, however, everyone has so many different outfits from all of the different versions of the show that I've been making two patterns of each character. I like this one as well as the Ryoko sprite that I posted in December, since there's not really one of them that I prefer over the other. This one has a much less pastel color scheme, though, so if you like the red and orange here better than the light green and pink that the other sprite is wearing, I guess that I'd recommend stitching this one.
